Amenities
While our amenities may not be vast, the amenities we provide are cared for to our fullest extent. Our main office building has information regarding weather on the water and a live broadcast of the Silversides Museum, with a fresh water dispenser and a coffee machine inside, available to customers. Continuing our on land amenities, we have our hygiene building, with six showers and recently renovated bathrooms! Showers are unisex and available during our normal season dates. Around the horseshoe of the basin, you will find four notable amenities: parking spots in front of slips, green space, dock boxes, and picnic tables. Each seasonal boater who is in a fixed dock is guaranteed two parking spaces. The green space gives our boaters an area to walk their animals, out of the way of the parking lot and hot asphalt. Within these green spaces also give our boaters the unique ability to have personal grills near to their slip. Each fixed slip has a picnic table next to their dock box, providing boaters with storage and a hang out place next to their boat, whether it’s for lunch or a casual conversation with friends.
Moving onto the water, we have utility pedestals, with power and water hook ups, and a light atop to help guide boaters to wherever they might need to head after dark. Wifi is also available, thanks to our helpful repeaters around the basin.
Situated just to our west, we have Hartshorn Launch Ramp, one of the four launch ramps that is owned by the City of Muskegon. Hartshorn Launch Ramp has one dock for launching, meaning that two boaters are able to get started on their boating day at the same time. A kiosk is located just to the west of the launch ramp, allowing boating to purchase a day pass or a season pass at any time. Season passes purchased this way will not print out a sticker, and will use your vehicles license plate as your pass, clearing your windshield!
