Everyone loves lists(I know because I read it from a list of things everyone loves) so I thought I would put together a quick one.

There are some things that every marina has. Docks. Water. Views. So, what makes Hartshorn stand out? I can think of so many things, but for the sake of time I have narrowed it down.

In no particular order, and in no way exhaustive, here is a list of some of my favorite things about Hartshorn:

City of Muskegon Launch Permits for the year 2019 are now available!

There are four launch launch ramps owned by the City of Muskegon. To launch a vessel at city launch ramp facilities, a valid permit must be used. There are two permit options: daily passes or annual permits.

Everyone knows that Muskegon Lake has value beyond the traditional boating season. There is plenty of fishing activity on Muskegon Lake throughout the year. As long as weather permits, the docks will be in place. Annual permits are valid for the calendar year in which it is purchased. The permits are non-transferable; they must be completely adhered to the windshield of your vehicle. While you cannot use one permit on multiple vehicles, you could tow different trailers with the same vehicle. So, you can trailer as many different boats to our ramps as you wish just as long as you use the vehicle with the permit to launch. We are now securely into the year 2019 and this year’s annual permits are available for purchase!

Daily passes are a self serve option available on site at each of the city launches. They are valid for the 24-hour period in which they are purchased and must be properly payed and displayed. This is convenient for anyone making an occasional visit to Muskegon or maybe a last minute fishing trip. However, at $12 each, the fees will add up quickly if you are hoping to enjoy Muskegon Lake multiple times throughout the year. The cost effective solution will be an annual permit.
